    Excelent manual lens for portraits with cool bokeh

    USED AT SONY NEX 5N (crop-factor x1.5) Construction: minimalistic, durable, well-made. It is extremely small lens with 49mm filter thread for its large aperure 2.0. Lens is old and is not construed anymore, and difficult to find now. 8-blades diaphragm does very nice bokeh, large aperture 2.0 at 85 mm allows deep blur of background at close-mid distnce of focusing. Easy to control. Optical quality: wide open is not sharp, at some circumstunces c/a visible and might become an issue and image might look soft(but I do really like it for portraits), at 2.8 can see big improve improve on contrast, and abberations, best sharpness seen at f=5.6-8. For portraits 2.0 workable, for landscape - 2.8-8 better. I didn't notice any vigneting or distrotion or color-shift. C/A at 2.0-2.8 can be easily ...

    Ultimate OM lens for portrait

    If you are olympus boy and love portrait photography with manual focus lens, the OM 85/2 is THE must. It likes diamond. Small, beauty and shine. Picture quality and bokeh is excellent. On E-M5, contrast and sharpeness start at f/2 (yes!) and peak at f/4. Find one with S/N above 200000. However, one with S/N above 116000 is OK. Lower than that - you have to shoot mainly in B&W.
