Old generation tech, but still useful

Great rig for someone looking to get in to modelling but don't want to spend 5 times more money for current tech. Configurable, customizable, and easy to work with. No complaints so far.

  • Great product, slight annoyances, but would buy another if it broke

Overall an incredible effects system. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. The tone that can be produced is good to excellent. Albeit sometimes it CAN sound a little bit synthetic(I know, a digital pedal sounding fake right). Easy to get a nice thick sound from this though. Setup is easy, and honestly I think it's easier to simply plug into an amp, sit down, and mess around with the settings on the pedal itself. But you can also use a computer to manipulate the sound yourself. Build quality is really nice. I've gigged with one for about a year to 1 1/2 years and never felt like it was gonna fail on me in a set. The only quarrel I have is with glitches. There can sometimes be slight delays with the pedal switching to a new effect channel. Also when pressing down to ...

  • Older model but excellent nevertheless.

Likes: 1. metal chassis- very sturdy, and it can take some crazy abuse. I have seen these thrown across a room before only to be hooked up and work perfectly. It's the Shure 57 of guitar multi-effects. 2. Tap-tempo delays- a nice big footswitch up in front right where it should be. Perfect for syncing delays to your bpm. 3. Modeling- the modeling on the PXTL is a bit old, from around 2004 I think, but it still sounds really, really good. It beats out both the Tonelab and the Digitech multis I have owned. I play things like PJ Harvey, Iron Maiden, and Radiohead, and there are plenty of patches and programming that suits all 3 of those bands. 4. Ease- If you are familiar with multis at all, then this one will be very, very easy to program, especially with the great software ...

  • Versatile, easily tweakable, good connectivity, easy to haul.

An absolute delight! The pedal is very complete, and very good sounding, provided that you tweak around some, but even the original presets sound OK; they provide base for your own sounds. Good amount of effects, amp simulations, USB conectivity for controlling the pedal and also for recording, secondary expression pedal input. Simulations are very good. If you're looking to sound exactly like your Marshall rig, that's imposible, but Line 6 pedals are the closest you'll get! The only reason I give it a 4-star is because I also Own the X3 live which is just freaking amazing due to it's dual processing, extra effects and simulations, XLR outputs... =)

  • Line 6 Pod XT Live Multi-Effects

First of all let me say I am no guitar virtuoso. I am a bass player / lots of instruments player. Going to try and be a lead guitar player. I got this unit and do not fully understand it yet, but have been messing around with it. It was used and the guy that had owned it had a lot of sounds that I guess he used in his band. Those sounds are quite impressive. If your a hard core guitar player I know you appreciate Robin Trower's sound. This unit has that sound on it. Whether it is a preset or custom I can't tell you, but it is possible to recreate it on this unit. Also you can get the classic tele type sound, like Brad paisley sound, and many others. I was impressed with the unit myself. But if you really want to know about this, go to YouTube and look around. Tons of videos and people ...
