About this product

Product Information

Disney Interactive Studios' original series that combines fossil excavation with a Pokémon-like RPG battle mechanic makes its Wii debut in Spectrobes: Origins. Gamers once again join protagonists Rallen and Jeena as they travel to exotic lands to excavate, train, and command a variety of elemental creatures known as Spectrobes. The baby Spectrobes must then be sent to an incubator so they can grow strong enough to help Rallen and Jeena battle the vicious "Krawl" creatures that have been terrorizing the galaxy.

Excavation takes on the form of a Trauma Center-esque mini-game where players use their Wii Remote and Nunchuk to carve, blast, and chip the fossilized creatures out of their rocky encasements, with quicker and more precise cuts resulting in more powerful Spectrobes. Gamers can then enlist juvenile Spectrobes to help locate hidden items and fossils, while the "Adult" and "Evolved Form" Spectrobes hone their battle skills by engaging in real-time combat. Rallen and Jeena can bring as many as six Spectrobes with them into combat, while multiplayer fans can join a friend (in the form of a Spectrobe) for co-op battles.

    Still love it!!!!

  • Great Value. Good Product

I bought this mainly because it was cheap. When I started to play it I actually liked it, it has this sort of pokemon themed essence, in which you find creatures fossils and battle with them then evolve them. If your a parent looking for a decent game for your kid that isn't violent or has language, this is it. The controls are a little clunky though but can get used to later on. I don't recommend this to hardcore gamers, but I do to anyone else whos looking for a good game for a bargain.

  • Almost as fun as the DS games

The game itself is a nice monster battler/creature collector game, with minigames to unlock the creatures, its super fun

  • Wii's top of the line

I'm gonna keep it short, this is the best game that is on the Wii. It combine's beautiful visuals, great storyline & cinematic, strategic elements, great, innovative, clever, & creative use of the Wii control implemented in the game, great battle combat/fighting system, love the collecting monsters that fight & you can make stronger & evolve & your man character has weapons too. Love all the different type's of monster's & enemies & the different elemental weapons your character gets. It's just overall the best. Boss battles too

  • Not what you would expect!!!

I saw a YouTube review on this game and was a little worried that it was made by Disney and used anime characters since I am in college and am not a kid. I put in a very low bid and by chance won the game. I was surprised by how addicting the game is. I have put in about 12 hours on the game and so far the game has not gotten too difficult or frustrating and still has that pull that makes you want to pick up the wiimote whenever possible. For game play you are either the girl or guy and you have to fight with your Spectrobes and essentially save the world one planet at a time. It is almost like Pokémon in the fact that there is a lot of walking and collecting items, battling, and leveling up in the process. But for the price you can get the game on eBay right now I would definitely give it ...
