  • Pictures and value for money put C7070 at top of class

There's a lot to like about the C7070, but perhaps the best thing is the value it represents. It's rugged, feature-filled, and has excellent optics -- all at a price at the low end of the prosumer class. Pros: = Image quality is superb. I didn't see anything better short of a DSLR. = A zoom range equivalent to 27-110. The wide angle end of the range is especially useful, and was a major selling point for me. = I take a lot of sports pictures, and the 7.1 megapixels allows me to tightly crop but still get useable images. = The macro-shooting capability is nothing short of outstanding. = Everything under the sun is adjustable, or, if you wish, you can just let the camera do the work. = You can shoot at shutter speeds between 16 seconds and 1/4000th. = There is a wide range of metering ...

  • A pony in the bottom of the barrel. Wow, what a camera!

After reading why Consumer Report considered this camera a best buy, I was on a mission to buy one. I never thought I would own a camera this nice. Olympus support is excellent as well. It's a pleasure to deal with them. Wow, what a nice camera! I absolutely love it! I never dreamed, at my age, I would own a camera this nice. I am going to buy a High Resolution Fisheye 0.5xWide Angle Lens as I want to take pictures of a very large antique sideboard in a limited interior space. I can't tell the sideboard to move back so this lens is necessary. The wide zoom that comes with the camera works well when taking wide zoom pictures outside where you have plenty of room. I took a family picture outside, with the wide zoom, that I was pleased with. I also took a picture of a hummingbird, in my ...

  • Olympus C-7070 WZ 7.1 mp: In a League of its Own

The C-7070WZ, by Olympus, is a unique camera with features that are not to be seen in many other digital cameras. You can probably get a digital camera that will take as good or better pictures, but your adventure in composing a shot, dabbling with camera features and experimenting with shutter, aperture, lighting and other such variables won't be the same without the C-7070. Fully manual control allows such exploration. Features such as dual CF/XD memory card use, a tremendously articulated viewing screen, very strong battery power for durability over a day of shooting, magnesium construction, an external flash shoe and the remarkable 27mm equivalent wide angle capability are part of the C-7070's repertoire. Combined, these features are not to be found readily on other non-slr digital ...

  • Olympus Camedia C 7070 Wide Zoom 7.1 Megapixel

I love this little camera. This is a compact fixed lens camera that a professional would like. Some of the unusual features include a OVF, B mode and manual focusing. All aspects of this camera were way ahead of it's time. I use this as a car camera or when i don't want to be seen carrying my DSLR. It won't fit in your pocket but you can carry it nicely in coat pocket. This camera also uses the BLM1 battery that is a standard on most Olympus DSLR cameras. It also has excellent Zuiko glass and not the cheap material in most other compact cameras..the only negative aspect...I just wish Olympus had of kept on producing it!
