Fun film poorly presented
Plan 9 from Outer Space is one of Ed Woods "best" films. OK no, its so bad that it's great fun to watch for all the mistakes like; scenes go from night to day and back to night. The aliens UFO is round but the rooms inside are rectangular, etc etc. The print of the film used to make this dvd is good but the company has it's logo in the corner of every scene. That may bother anyone who thinks such practices are bogus. To me, the logo helps to make this film even worse, but not in a good way.Plan 9 from Outer Space is one of Ed Woods "best" films. Supposed to be scary not funny...get ready to laugh!
I rated this movie as good, because I laughed through the whole thing. This is like a kid's amateur video production, or a school play. The only one who could really act at all in this movie was Bela Lugosi, and I wonder how it would have turned out if he had lived to complete it. I liked it, simply because it was a bad movie trying to take itself seriously, and failing in a big way. Should a movie ever be written, directed, and produced by the same man? Well... maybe if that man knows what he's doing! Wobbling hubcaps for spaceships, a shower curtain for a plane's cockpit, and the star of the movie never had a name. Lugosi was simply called "the dead old man". Who were those other actors, anyway? I know about Tor and Vampira, but the pilot's wife, the pilot, the cops who ... I rated this movie as good, because I laughed through the whole thing. This is like a kid's amateur video production, or a school play. Are you the type of person who enjoys film outtakes, where an actor blows their lines, and has to redo it? Then this is the film for you. I think the whole thing is one big outtake. It's hilarious!

A Bad Movie -Maybe- Worth Seeing...
Plan 9 From Outer Space is definitely worthy of being considered one of the worst films of all time. In fact, it is so bad that it takes serious commitment to sit through the whole thing! I would say that it is excruciatingly painful (to the mind) to watch this movie. It is horrendous! But that's why we all watch it, isn't it? It is indeed terrible, full of blatantly incorrect "scientific" information. It is worth seeing just for the speeches towards the end - completely hysterical! However, I would like to point out that the *documentary* of Plan 9, which is included in this version, is at least as poorly made a film as Plan 9 itself. The documentary is a farce. I turned it off after about three minutes of fast-forwarding. A great B-Movie
In order to enjoy a movie, you must be in the right state of mind. If you're watching a drama, it's best to really connect and feel for the characters. For thrillers and horror films, be ready for the next jump jump scare, and build up suspense for yourself from scene to scene. In comedies, be relaxed, chilled, and ready to laugh. For movies like Plan 9, take nothing seriously, and you will enjoy every second. This last footage of Bela Lugosi is truly memorable for more reasons than one. The incredibly stiff and unrealistic acting, the quirky and forced dialogue, and the overall nonsense and rediculousness of what's going on in front of you is sure to make you laugh more than a few times during the films short 78 minute running time. How the zombies catch people when they're slower than ... In order to enjoy a movie, you must be in the right state of mind. Questo film viene unanimemente definito il peggior film di tutti i tempi!!! Forse perchè non hanno visto certi filmacci italiani degli anni '60 ah ah ah!!! Comunque nella sua incredibile realizzazione fatta con mezzi scarsissimi io questo flim ci trovo una certa originalità il reg Ed Wood santificato dal film di Tim Burton con Johnny Depp. La fama di questo film mi ha incuriosito moltissimo e pur essendo arrivato a capire che il film è sconclusionato il film mi è piaciuto!!!Pur sapendo che film è beniniteso!!Questo film viene unanimemente definito il peggior film di tutti i tempi!!!
