Dres was not wrapped in anything, just "folded" and placed in box. We live in a rural area, the delivery was to front door, but no overhang, so rain crept into box. Raccoons found the box and opened it, so there are footprints all over the white satin. I've never received clothing that was not wrapped in plastic or something inside the box. The dress is lovely and as described. Packing left something to be desired
