This Japanese version of the game King of Dragons for Nintendo Entertainment System is a scrolling action game that allows the players to choose from five characters like Elf, Warlock, Warrior, Cleric and Dwarf in order to travel in the kingdom of Malus and defeat all the monsters, then reaching their leader, the red dragon Gildiss. The game consists of sixteen levels that will put in trouble the players but in the same time, will ensure an adequate level of fun.

    A great SNES classic!

    Pros: ----- *Interesting characters to choose from *Weapon upgrades after most levels for more power and a slightly different look *Plenty of levels to battle through *Good game-play *Good graphics Cons: ----- *Difficult to beat the game without using the 99 continues cheat *Replay value diminishes with each play through (but if you're like me, you'll play through it quite a few times with a friend) This game is definitely worth the money and worth playing. Grab a friend and battle enemies throughout the numerous levels. If you don't like "beat-um-up" type games, you might not like this, but if you're a true SNES fan and enjoy a side scrolling, fighting RPG-type adventure in 16-bit fashion, this game will keep you entertained!

    King of Dragons for the Super NES

    An excellent side scrolling battle action game with very nice graphics and sounds. The characters are very detailed and the game play is entertaining with lots of on screen action to take part in. I thoroughly enjoy these old school "double-dragon style" side scrolling fighting games and this one provides plenty of it. Capcom also released "Knights of the Round" for the Super NES at about the same time. These games are very similar to eachother in game play style. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for this type of entertainment for their Super NES game system.

    A classic staple for retro gaming, a must have for any SNES fan!

    You must travel through the kingdom of Malus and defeat the monsters that have taken over! Ported to the Super NES in 1994 was The King of Dragons, much like Capcom's Knights of the Round, King of Dragons features a role playing video game like level advancement system. You may choose from five characters Elf, Wizard, Fighter, Cleric, and Dwarf to save the kingdom. The setting is very similar to that of Dungeons and Dragons and other medieval fantasy worlds, with a fair amount of semi familiar monsters reminiscent to old pencil and paper table top games.
