Product Information

Wild ARMs 4 continues the Western-themed role-playing series that began on the original PlayStation in 1997. The franchise's fourth game has players guiding four teenagers in an original storyline set within the 3D world of Filgaia. Combat once again employs a turn-based system, but with a new hexagonal grid for strategic movement. Party members can either spread out to attack adjacent enemies or stick together in one grid for added support. The exploration phase outside of combat involves action similar to a platform game, as players will be able to perform double jumps, alter time by moving at high speeds, and solve an assortment of puzzles. The lead protagonist is Jude Maverick, whose homeland was ravaged by an opportunistic army. He is joined by a motley group of friends determined to discover the truth behind the devastating invasions, no matter what the cost.

    Wild ARMs, better than you think.

    I bought this game about a month ago and I'm very surprised with it. There is a new battle system that is very easy to use. There are many mini quests and games that make he game enjoyable. X-Seed, the maker of this game, have added a file conversion feature for those who have played Wild ARMs: Alter Code F. It gains you a special item and raises your beginning stats. The many mind puzzles are part of the fun. This is not just a platformer. It makes you use your mind, which is nice to find in an RPG. There are also hidden files you can earn based on certain criteria. My only complaint is the many, many random battles that only go away if you do something special while on the field. It can get rather annoying. Otherwise, if you are an RPG gamer looking for a good game, I do recommend this ...

    An OK game with an experimental battle system

    Wild Arms 4 is one game that you may or may not enjoy for many reasons. With its anime style and feel, you can find it easy to take a liking to the cast of this game. However the battle system may leave you frustrated and annoyed. The sory overall is good, however i found myself often lost at times. Other than that, this game could be alot of fun. The only draw back is its battle system. The HEX system mixed with elemental bonuses and penalty is hard to grasp at first. Another factor was in the way you set up your party on the HEX battle field. All of thes factors contribute to the outcome of battle. Basicly it feels to excremental and unpolished. Another frustrating thing that stands out is that the game does not compensate any safety for the player. What i mean by that is, say you save ...

    Wild Arms 4 - Pretty addicting

    I played the previous Wild Arms before and decide to check this one out too. The fighting system contain a hex with five flower petal shape. It's pretty unique as it goes. The HP/MP automatically regain after the battle. If the characters' HP reached Zero during battle, at the end of the battle those character will be automatic revived. HP/MP will be regained based on the HP/MP the characters are left with after the battle. On of the only parts of this game I don't like is the graphic. It's too anime related. Meaning the graphic is just like one of those anime series. It disappointed me a little. Also, the battle system needs a little more improvement. It's a bit lacking for my taste. But overall, it's a pretty addicting game. I still like it none the less. It may not be my favorite game ...

    Best Wild Arms Game Ever!!

    Ok let me start by saying that WA4 is the best in the series. i personaly, I'm a fanatic about rpg's. The story line in the game is the best so far, it is a tale of a young boy named jude whose village is attacked by a group of soldiers. they take over and he along with a freind he made wile exploring have to save the village.ok i think im going to stop because im going to tell the whole story. the battle system is new and a little hard to get at first but its very easy after you get the hang of it. it really makes u think and stratagize your next move.the game is kinda short but its worth evry moment. in closing i realy recomend buying it. its worth evry dollar.hope somebody finds this useful. A++++.
