Be noted this film is not like the book it's based on. Some of the characters are expanded while others are created. The animation is visual and looks realistic. Shrek is not flawless and neither is Donkey. At one point, the Broken Aesop cliche is subverted when Shrek & Donkey are scolded for making wise-cracks about Lord Farquaad. Plus, the twist is foreshadowed and not tacked on for the shocks. And the characters don't all crack into constant musical numbers. (The ones who come close to get knocked out kung-fu style.) May this become listed as part of multiple list of films one must see before they die.Be noted this film is not like the book it's based on. Ogres Are Like Onions
I absolutely love this movie. I watch it all the time. This is one of those movies that you can watch over and over again without getting bored. The cast, plot, and graphics are great! For cast you get: Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy, and John Lithgow. All give 110%. This movie is absolutely original, not like anything I've seen before. My favorite character has to be Donkey. He has some of the greatest lines in this whole movie. Even though he can get on the irritating side sometimes he's always funny. This is the perfect movie for any comedy fan. So buy yours today and enjoy! :)I absolutely love this movie. I watch it all the time.
