Alternative approach to the 12-string
Chris Proctor has a refreshing approach to the 12 string and helps you think about ways you can enhance the richness of the instrument. His picking style gives voice to all the strings, making it richer than the strum-along same-three-chords folkies-only box that might be associated with it. I first went to homespun.com (the firm that publishes the DVD) to see a sample video before I bought it. The DVD doesn't disappoint. 12 String Guitar in depth
Great material if you really want to play 12 String Guitar. I fingerstyle and fingerpick blues on 12 string and this guy has solved some problems for me including making my twelves sound more like they should, bringing out the beauty of the instruments voice and less strenuous ways to play intricate pieces without overtaxing the hands.
