This is an autobiography of Mick Fleetwood and his involvment with the Fleetwood Mac band. He talks about his childhood and how he was not a good student but his father still believed enough in him to try different methods and schools for him to get his education. And how eventually he was able to let his son go and proove himself as a drummer in the rowdy clubs in London. He talks about how he and other musicians worked the clubs and how the eventual linup of the Fleetwood Mac group was established and from there on how he and John and Christine McVie pressed on through the loss of front men and guitarists to become the top selling Rock and Roll band in the 1970's and 80's. There are some descriptions of particular incidents but he doesn't get into intricate detail which ...

  • A good read

I enjoyed reading this book, because it came from a actual member of the band. I learned a few things that I did not know about Fleetwood Mac. I thought it was well written. I did however notice a few things that Mick said that were different from what Stevie has said. I also wanted to say that Mick not only mentions the highs of his career and life but he also mentions the lows. You really get to know who Mick Fleetwood is. I could really relate to alot of things that Mick mentions in his book. One thing I noticed about Mick is, when ever he was truly happy, he would do something that would mess it up. I don't think he even knew at the time that he was doing this, but subconsiously he was. I think the older Mick got the more he started to realize this, and know he is married and very ...

  • Fleetwood by Mick Fleetwood, Stephen Davis (1990)

First, I need to say that I bought this book for my wife as a Christmas gift. My wife is a fan of Fleetwood Mac and of Stevie Nicks. I give this book an excellent rating because my wife has read over half of the book already, a lot of it aloud to me as I work at my desk. I can tell by my wife's tone as she reads aloud and the glow of her face while reading that she is really enjoying the book so therefore I consider the book to be an excellent product. My plan was to make her happy and I feel this book is doing just that. Perhaps I will also read it after she is finished and finally lays it down.
