THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK is director Steven Spielberg's sequel to his original dinosaur thriller. Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) returns for more dino-horror when, four years after the disaster at the would-be amusement park, another expedition is mounted by millionaire John Hammond (Richard Attenborough). To document the natural behavior of the beasts at a mysterious Site B, Hammond sends a team comprising Malcolm; Malcolm's girlfriend, paleontologist Dr. Sarah Harding (Julianne Moore); and a wildlife videographer (Vince Vaughn). They face adversity in the form of a less-than-scrupulous big-game hunter (Pete Postlethwaite) and, of course, the terrible lizards themselves. The film is loosely based on Michael Crichton's novel THE LOST WORLD, which was named after the 1912 Sir Arthur Conan Doyle novel of the same name. Spielberg proved his determination to alternate making socially conscious films with directing movies of sheer entertainment value; his prior film to THE LOST WORLD was SCHINDLER'S LIST, and he followed the dinosaur adventure with AMISTAD.

    The Lost World

    This movie is just as good (maybe even better) as the first Jurassic Park movie. This one follows Ian Malcolm, who goes to the second island Site B, which was made as a back up plan in case the amusement park idea went badly. John Hammond, the man who created the park, wants experts to go on a trip to Site B to document the dinosaurs in their natural habitat. He learns that John Hammond has sent his girlfriend there, who is a paleontologist, and Ian feels that he needs to go rescue her. When he arrives they discover that a man with a huge team is hunting down some of the dinosaurs to return them back to the United States in a new zoo. But of course things go terribly wrong once again. If you enjoyed the first Jurassic Park movie, then you'll love this one as well.

    my kids love it

    I've been looking for this movie for a long time, now their collection is complete.The movie is in great shape ,for now anyway,cause they watch it all the time and will be worn out soon. I will visit your site quite often .I am very pleased with my purchase, as I stated my kids are thrilled to death about this movie and their friends too.     A domestic classic

    Very well done video! This is number two in a three part series. While the book makes for some excellent reading, the movie has done a fine job of capturing the excitement and suspense on film. Highly recommended viewing!

    The Lost World Jurassic Park 2

    My son likes his movies on VHS. It's difficult to explain but finding movies that he likes in VHS is difficult. He loves this movie and I even watched it on VHS with him. I enjoyed the movie, it's fun to watch. If it were mine, I'd have it on DVD.
