Help Manny, Sid, Diego, Scrat, and friends navigate their way through the lush jungles of a world lurking underneath the ice: a tropical world inhabited by dinosaurs. Master each character's distinct moves while exploring caves, riding a pterodactyl, avoiding a rampaging Tyrannosaurus rex, running atop a ball of ice, and more. Those having difficulty during certain sequences can receive tips from woolly mammoth Ellie as well as possums Crash and Eddie. If you're a fan of the game for Ice Age 2, you'll love this sequel.
I grew up playing the previous game, based on Ice Age 2. Ironically developed by the same team who would work on Ice Age 3. The developers "Eurocom" have successfully retooled the previous Ice Age game engine to work for next generation consoles. And unlike Ice Age 2, you can play as almost every character from the Ice Age franchise. Ice Age 2 was basically a side story with Scrat, during the events of the movie, with minigames where you played as Sid, Manny and Diego. In the sequel, Sid and Buck are the main platforming characters. And Scrat is playable in a few nice 2D style platforming sections. Some of the music and game assets are recycled from the previous game. But the new music and reworked models are a major improvement from the previous game. Better animations during cutscenes. ... Highly recommended and great game for younger players as well as old.
Love it!!!! I bought this game for my 4 year old son and it is the best thing ever for him. I have to limit the amount of time he plays it because he NEVER wants to stop. It is one of the first games he has ever played and I cannot believe how quickly he was able to learn how to do it. Great game.
