    Certainly not excellent but better than average.

    With few "name" stars, this film held its own in tension. Maintenance man scenes were slow but unmasking of the devil was a shocker. I rated it good.

    Decent movie but not great

    Movie was pretty average. Some parts that make you jump and lots of darkness. Not recommended for folks with sensative stomachs b/c the opening scene is upside down and roller coaster like. Almost the entire movie actually takes place inside an elevator. Had a nice mix of characters. Not many extras on the dvd. Movie went smoothly from scene to scene and story worked well enough. I would recommend renting before buying!

    A good horror mystery

    I definitlly liked it, though my two brothers hated it. I liked the majority of M. Night Shymalan's previouse movies though, were as they weren't fans in the first place. It's scary but not too scary, and suspensful as well. I didn't feel that his signature twist wasn't quite on par with his works like Sixth Sense or The Village, more on the level of Lady in The Water. Not horribly unexpected but not cut and dry either. All together, I thought it was a pretty good movie.

    A Good M. Night Shyamalan Movie!

    I thought M. Night Shyamalan's movies were going down the tube until I watched this one. Overall, a very good plot with good characters. The movie has you guessing throughout it until the end. Very interesting, considering, most of the movie was in an elevator. Not a lot of action, moves slow at time, but very suspenseful. Overall, a good movie to watch and own. Hopefully, he stays on track with these movies.
