    The Uninvited DVD Movie Review.

I enjoyed the suspense and I really thought it was the father's love interest killed her mom until the very end when I realized that she accidentally set the fire that killed her sister and mother. It was crazy how she used the name of a patient at the hospital to accuse dad's girlfriend of murder, the death of the young man who told her that he saw what had happened, how her dead sister was somehow alive in her mind helped her to put together the plan that they had to do something to save their father when all the time everything was fabricated in her mind that led her to kill the girlfriend to keep her destroying their the family, and to save their father. The ending simply blew me away that she simply lost her mind after the tragic fire she set accidentally.

  • The Surprise Ending That Will Not Leave You Stiff!

Sometimes what Hollywood thinks might be an instant goldmine coming from the fountain of Asian horror flicks sometimes leaves us wishing we had seen the original. In this case, Charles and Thomas Guard have done a remarkably wonderful job of balancing thrill between the usual smoke and mirrors and a well made psychological thriller that didn't just wind up chopped up into small pieces on the editing floor. Even though the limited number of successful Asian horror films have made it big, that didn't keep the Guard brothers from spending 6 long years to get it right. Those perfectly filmed moments where each tense scene used tricks from the usual cookbook of terror to scare the audience, with the usual light and shadows, smoke and mirrors, warped beings, decomposed bodies and ...

  • Typical Horror Flick, Good for a Late Night scare

Emily Browning (Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, Ghost Ship) stars as Anna Rydell, a women who's mother has recently passed away. She returns home to her father only to discover he has recently become engaged to Elizabeth Banks (Role Models, Zack and Miri Make a Porno). After Anna arrives home she is visited by the ghost of her deceased mother and she begins to suspect Rachel (Banks) of foul play. The story is a remake of Korean flick that did pretty well in its original release. This continues a trend lately of American Production Companies remaking horror films from Korea and Japan (i.e.: The Grudge, etc.) I am not sure if this is a good thing or not, but I guess it depends on your taste in movies. The movie is well made and sticks pretty much to the ...

  • Suspenseful trip getting emotionally supportive of perhaps the wrong person.

This movie had a well written plot, leading to an ending I did not see coming. While watching the movie, you start to become sure of what is going on, and flashbacks reinforce what you think is occurring...until the end, where what you were thinking is NOT what was actually happening. This movie two female leads Elizabeth Banks and Emily Browning both give terrific performances which just help to lead you down the wrong path. Well worth watching!

  • The Uninvited (2009)💀

I saw The Uninvited a few years ago with a former girlfriend and thought it was really good. She enjoyed it so much I told her to keep the DVD. Emily Browning and one of my favorite actresses Arielle kebbel 💗 did a excellent job as did the rest of the cast. Although the ending is very predictableand I realized how it was going to end the first time I saw the preview when the movie was first released I really like this movie. it had been a while since I last saw it and thought it was time to repurchase the DVD to add to my collection. I would definitely recommend this movie to people who enjoy good thriller flicks. 💀
