Shipping issue with usps. Never use media mail, this package set on a semi trailer in Jacksonville for 4 days before being processed out. I m 70 miles from that facility. This seems to be a regular problem with USPS shipping. Seller had great communication. Item was as described.

    Versatile, powerful A/V receiver

    I have owned several Yamaha receivers over the years and the RX line is one of the most flexible, versatile, and powerful receivers on the market. It can handle just about any peripheral - from CD's and DVD's to digital streaming, HD radio, and any HDMI source. These things are powerful and run relatively cool. But you want that power to ensure good clean sound even at low volumes. Yamaha's YPAO microphone easily helps calibrate the receiver to your room and speakers. And if you don't like the YPAO's auto settings, you can manually adjust it as you like. Further, a variety of "sound fields" allow the Yamaha to emulate a variety of venues and styles. And its "Silent Cinema" setting helps you listen to a full sound spectrum at low volumes (not waking up your family).

    Pure quality. Real talent went into designing this jewel

    My second Yamaha receiver, and from my experience, I'll probably never buy any other brand. This device is amazing. Quality throughout. The sound is clean and smooth. (Don't let anyone tell you that there is no difference in sound quality between better amps!) It took the better part of a (pleasurable) day to absorb all the features from the manual, and get it all set up perfectly. Now, I have a second independent speaker 'zone' set up on my patio (controllable with a second included remote). I've saved dozens of great sounding, commercial-free internet music stations to the unit's internet station "bookmarks". I've assigned the unit an IP address and can EASILY control it through an internet browser anywhere in the house. I played Bach's Toccata and Fugue (an "extreme organ tsunami")at a ...
