A semi-classic air purifing unit - a great selection
A friend of mine had worked in several Oreck stores for 10+ years and sold every model in the air purification category. This one was the choice for partial affordability and ease of cleaning and general maintenance. A solid unit that delivers on cleaning a mid-sized room and keeps running! Sure, 'air purification' is not a hot button topic but you will breathe he difference in a 'purified' room. Breathe fresh air
I have had the same Oreck so this will be my 3rd I would like one in every room. I like the fact that you don't have to replace the truan cell you just have to clean it when red light comes on. Love Love lOVE

A truly remarkable product!
My husband and I were beginning to suspect that the house we are renting had mold. We were both having a hard time sleeping and it seemed that he was always complaining of having a sinus infection. He went on a trip for a few days and felt much better. Then, as soon as he returned home, his sinus problems came back. So, he started taking Tylenol Sinus, and I was concerned because of the possible side affects of using Tylenol (serious liver problems). So, I decided that it would be worth a try to invest in an air purifier. I particularly wanted one that would kill mold. I had looked at a couple of models that used UV light to kill the mold, but didn't like the idea of using a fluoresence bulb because of the mercury and fluoride issues. So, I decided on the Oreck Model with the ... My husband and I were beginning to suspect that the house we are renting had mold. Now, when ever I tell my friends about our new air purifier, he whole heartedly joins in and tells people about how skeptical he was at first. But, that he now feels so much better. I know that we are both breathing better and sleeping better!

We purchased this product because we have allergies and a friend recommended it. She has been using the Oreck, with Truman Cell technology, for several years for her allergies and purchased two, in case one stopped working. She said it stopped her having sinus allergy related headaches. We now have two running in our home and purchased one for each of our daughters who have sinus problems related to allergies. We, and they, have had a noticeable reduction in sinus problems. We no longer wake up with clogged sinuses and drainage. It even reduces the problems when we have the windows open. One daughter has new carpet and two large dogs and notices a decrease in the smell associated with them in the house. We also like that we don't have the expense of purchasing new filters. We can just ... We purchased this product because we have allergies and a friend recommended it. We haven't used other Air Purifiers however our Vetrinarian recently purchased another manufacturers brand that uses replaceable filters and the staff had to leave a door open to relieve the room of the odor the purifier was emitting. Our Oreck doesn't emit any unpleasant odors. Good job, Oreck.
