    Not the best - Not the worst

    Still has some glitches after all this time. I wish they would sit a novice down in front of a computer and watch what happens. Some areas are solid while some are buggy as ever. These are simple fixes - I know this because I work for Drake Software. It's better than the old calculator and pencil method, of course, but come on guys... you can do so much better.

    Will do the job correctly for many, if your situation is not too complex. We had to use their help for 2 years for foreign tax credits.

    Generally works well for most purposes. Intuit's software for handling FOREIGN TAX CREDITS is flawed--it creates too many opportunities for entry errors, and badly needs revision. We have mutual funds that do generate some foreign profits and thus taxes that are withheld.

    Covers things very well for the novice in good detail. After you get used to the program you can jump around and skip much of the detail. Prior years info is transferred to the current year automatically. Good value.

    Does the job

    The step by step works well but every time there is a minor change the entire section must be reviewed and same questions answered. Downloading info from financial institutions is a good feature as is explanation of changes in tax/refund amount. $25 to e-file State return is too high.
