One of the greatest Saturn import games
It's games like these that make the Saturn truly shine. No video or screenshot online does the graphics of this game justice, they look great in person. The soundtrack is absolutely breathtaking and the controls are dead-on perfect. Thunder Force V is a horizontal-scrolling shoot-em-up from the legendary japanese developers Tecnosoft, who also produced many other fantastic shooters in arcade and for SEGA consoles. It contains many classic Thunder Force weapons and many new ones, such as the Blade, Hunter, Free Range, and the new Over Weapon. Your ship can now have up to three CRAW units at once. It's games like these that make the extra trouble to play import games on the Saturn worthwhile. The PlayStation port is graphically inferior, and the Japanese version is completely in English, ... Expensive but collector...
Great great shooter game... I waited a long time to have it (a little bit expensive huh?) but I had to have it in my collection. The Special Pack version contains an extra audio CD with remixes and remasters of great TDF's saga tracks. Quite good. And for the price of each version of the game, this special pack is worth the value... and a collector ;)
