  • Definitely Swiss Army Knife

It is often asked if I could buy one mic that would do it all what should I buy. The answer is one of two, their is no such thing or a Neumann U47. Now considering the latter costs the budget of most small to medium recording projects and may or may not be too old to function reliably. The Rode NT2000 should be able to get you through most situations while yielding quality usable tracks. No it does not sound like a UM47 but it does sound very good and is voiced in a way that you can hear most things working with it. I would describe it as smooth yet with an un-intrusive presence. It is obviously very flexable and feature packed. The variable pattern and filter allow you to really dial it in for almost any instrument or voice in any decent space. But this mic also very useful in sound ...

  • RODE NT2000 = GREAT VALUE

This is an excellent large diaphragm condenser mic, definitely the quietest mic I've ever owned. My mic collection consist of a akg c1000s, akg c3000b, Samson co3, Samson c01u, apex 440 (nice mic for the price), and most recently, this rode nt2000. The best aspects of this mic is it's natural sound and it's variability feature, you can choose in-between the 3 polar patterns. I would definitely recommend to anyone willing to spend $400-600 us for a mic.

  • Rode NT-2000 Studio Pro Condenser Microphone

If you are a person that likes Rode mics, you will love the NT-2000. I have 4 NT-1's and I bought the NT-2000 to have a good recording studio mic for various applications since it has the omni, cardioid, and figure 8 settings as well as the bass and treble roll offs.....that are just not on and offs.....but have adjustable ranges. I have used AKG 414's and I will put this one up against the AKG any day. So if you are looking for an inexpensive full range large diaphragm condenser that has all the bells and whistles....I wouldn't look any farther.....unless you just want to spend a boatload of money on a Neumann mic. And this one is not just an NT-1 with adjustments. This mic...I just have to say has an even sweeter, smoother, cleaner sound than the NT-1's.

  • Buy Rode Mics!

Excellent microphone for a good price from an Ebay auction. If it weren't for the auction I wouldnt have one right now. Sounds great works great and is a solid heavy piece of gear.
