    HD means Heavy Duty, JL still rock solid even after being passed down.

    I buy JL HD amps because they are rock solid. Short of someone living on a beach with A HD amp in their trunk, these amps are very well built, sound great, have the rated power or more and are quite frankly hard to damage internally. Generally there are nothing wrong with these amps and I can buy with confidence. "GENERALLY" I say that because out of 10 HD amps I have bought, only one had an issue and it was only with the HIGH/LOW voltage input selector switch, which stays in one place anyway once you figure out your head unit's voltage supply to the amp. While switching back and fourth there were some scratchiness and inconsistancies but once in place for good, was solid.

    Just stop looking for a 4ch amp and get the JL HD600/4!

    Small sized amp with lots of power. I am very pleased with this amp, hook up and set up is straight forward. I paired this amp with a two sets of dls nordica 6.2 components and this amp pushes them nicely. The only thing I thought was odd was that the amp had no fuses on it, which is no problem I just put an in-line fuse between my power distibution block and the amp. The amp looks good so you wouldn't have to hide it if you didn't want to. If I had to buy a amp again this would be the one. I was looking at the JL HD900/5 and chose this one instead and I am glad I did, this amp is no slouch!

    Me likey a lot!!!!

    As previously stated , I am very pleased with this amplifier. Previous to my current setup I was running a slash series 300/4 along with 600/1 and was happy or so I thought. Car was stolen then retrieved minus my system. Presently have the Jl hd600/4 along with 750/1. With that comes a very nice ceiling. Save money by doing it right the first time. 👍👍
