    It's a must for anyone that loves historical fiction with likeable characters.

    Best western I have ever seen. My brother and I watched this every Sunday when it ran back in the 70's and it was our favorite show. All of the main actors did a great job and our favorites were Zeb(played by James Arness) and Luke(played by Bruce Boxleitner). The series covers all the relevant topics of the time from The Civil War to events leading to the Indian Wars. Even better than The Big Valley and Gunsmoke.

    My husband absolutely loved it. He is a western fan and of Jim Arness too, from Gunsmoke. It was such a different character for him. We thought it very good and family friendly. Not like today's movies,..
