    Projector powerhouse 2k MSRP for much less and looks amazing

    I upgraded from a Sony VPL-VW50, which is 900 lumens to the Panasonic PT-AE4000u, which is 1600 lumens. Brighter and nicer picture (although both are 1080p not 4k). What I like most is that I can have some light on in the room and still see the projection, where as with the Sony you'd have to have all the lights off and almost squint to see darker details. Solid, high quality machine, 2k brand new and 200-400 bucks used today, so a fantastic value. These were made for screening room setups, so the vents are in the front of the machine, allowing you to put it flush against a wall (on the back) if you'd like. Highly recommended!

    Quality Imaging equipment

    I am not disappointed with this Projector at all, but with a name like Panasonic, should I be surprised. the reproduction is sharp and colour excellent. There are numerous set up parameters that cn be adjusted depending on your style of viewing. This unit is set up to project on to an 80inch 16x9 format screen. I do not have blackout curtains or blinds which would help on bright sunny days. But I rarely use it on those days anyway. The setup was fairly easy as the instructions explain how to adjust the picture both manually and also for the electronic adjustments.
