Good for price & Purpose
I really only wanted a watch that looked good enough for daily wear and was easy to read. I don't really use the alarm feature, so I can't comment on that. With those limitations here is the Good: The watch looks nice and simple. (It won't scream "rich" if that is what you are after, but it is clean cut and has elegant simplicity.) The contrast of the LCD against the background is good for my old eyes and the time display is large enough I can read without my reading glasses. It is easy to set (I could figure it out without the instructions). The band is large enough for a big man's wrist, but easily adjustable at home to my small wrist. The Bad, for me, is that the light for night viewing doesn't illuminate the entire time area making it hard for me to read at night with old eyes ... Casio not manufacture this item in Japan. This is stamped Japan, real one is China Bucket fixing with watch is not stamped number. Original is stamped number Lower part what fixed hook, is one part. Original is two part. Band sides ican see low quality pressing. Original no similar holes. Watch keep time +5sec /24h .Original not so unaccurate. In Alarm mode long pressing select not caused wake up sound. Original has sound. So watch make with other parts like original.Casio not manufacture this item in Japan. You can't beat a Casio watch!
I've been buying Casio watches for years. I've never found any watch more accurate, or as tough. About every few years, I will do something to ruin one, but it's never Casio's fault! I'm rough on watches and nothing takes a beating like a Casio! The only thing I don't like about the newer ones is the little light to check your time with, when it's dark, is not as bright as the original one. But, that's a small issue. The watch is almost a precise replacement and exactly what I wanted. Alarm function was most important. Check. Day/Date. Check. Familiar because it's similar to what I've owned for 30 yrs. Check. All in all, precisely what I wanted and precisely what I paid for. The one thing to upgrade immediately is the band. Very lightweight material and the color green came to mind. Old time's sake
Its a classic retro watch. I remember have one of those when I was young, so remember it will look smaller on your arm that used to be when you were a kid. it is comfortable and good looking for a retro proposal. I remember back there to play a lot with the watch light in the dark, a lot of cool memories...
