      1989 ford F-350 truck Repair Manual

      I have several Ford F-350 trucks that I have to maintain. This Haynes manual has a lot of information in it that is needed to work on these trucks. I refer to it often. I already had a digital copy of this manual, but it is so much better to have the actual book on the work bench to refer to without having to fool with the laptop. Having the actual book saves a lot of time.

      OK but could have been better

      Usually, the first thing I do after buying a new vehicle is 1. have spare keys made and 2. buy the relevant Haynes manual for that vehicle. Haynes are the best step-by-step guide for the DIYer, in my opinion, but was a little disappointed to learn after receiving this one that the carburetor for my particular model was not covered, and that was the thing I was most interested in learning about. Will still get some use out of it but not as much as I had hoped.

      Less than I expected.

      My first Haynes manual for a car or truck. It covered quite a few years, but I was really disappointed in the level of detail in the book. I do not plan on ever buying another one. I also bought a Ford service manual for my vehicle. From now on, I'll get the factory manuals whenever possible.

      Just bought a '96 F150. The temperature gauge was not working but I could not find the sensor (hidden way up under the exhaust manifold) Bought the book, looked up temp sensor in the index ... A few minutes under the truck bing bang boom: Done

      Much better than the other book we purchased.

      My grandson has a truck that has a lot of problems but narrowing them down has been hard. We had gotten another book on it but it wasn't as clear and informative as the Haynes book is.
