    BEST EVER GUITARIST

Any conversation about the best guitarists of all time in the rock/metal/blues genres that doesn’t have Stevie Ray Vaughan in your top three isn’t much of a list, this live performance is just one more piece of evidence for that claim!

  • Stevie Ray Vaughan - Live from Austin, Texas

The video was good and showed some real close up art work by SRV's magic hands. The first show in 1983 was my favorite due to the fact Stevie was working hard and unpolished, a real artist on a missiion to prove his worth. The second show in 1989 was, like the cover says, a more polished act but for me was almost commerical in some respects. Nevertheless Stevie is a master and artist in the true sense. I did see the original performance in 1989 on ACL and noticed that there were some cuts between songs on the DVD, which I was really looking forward to seeing again. The last song on the DVD, Little Wings, is a real treat for anyone that loves music. The clips of Stevie, his idols, and the making of the SRV guitar was the sweetest icing on the cake. Now I have to go and watch it ...

  • BUY THIS DVD! NOW!

This is a spectacular performance. Stevie Ray just makes his guitar want to cry from his burning fingers. Almost every song is exceptional and to watch Stevie play behind his back so nimbly on Texas Flood is amazing. Double Trouble is very good also. This is taken from two shows. The 1st is 1983 and the 2nd 1989. This will be a collectors item. I may buy two copies in case mine wears out! Tracks are: Program Start Pride And Joy Texas Flood Voodoo Chile The House Is Rockin' Tightrope Leave My Girl Alone Cold Shot Crossfire Riviera Paradise Tick Tock Little Wing (bonus video)

  • LOVE SRV.

I love SRV. He was one of the greats. This performance in Austin is one of my favorites. He was really at the top of his game. So sad to lose him so young.
