    Perfect Petroleum Jelly Base

    It is difficult to find OTC hydrocortisone with a petroleum jelly base which, imo, stays on the skin longer and also helps moisturize. I love this formulation and the fact it comes in a 3 pack.

    Hydrocortisone ointment 1%

    Nothing relives he itch or skin allergic reaction (hives) like hydrocortisone does. If you have eczema, psorriasis, anal or vaginal itch, a little bit of hydrocortisone will help. Do not use it too often, as it may result in skin thinning. My dermatologist recommends the ointment as the cream formula contains alcohol.
