However the seller then cancelled the order stating that The BUYER had requested to cancel. This was presumably to avoid an eBay penalty. Buyer reported all above to eBay with evidence. Sadly eBay refuses to let buyers know the outcome.

The only difference apparently is the box so I offered to keep the one I was sent if they would refund the difference in price. they refused and offered a return label instead.
