For the factory way to mount a first aid kid under a BMW E53's seat
This is the preferred, factory-original way to install a BMW first aid kit box underneath a BMW E53's seats. Lines up perfectly with the mounting holes underneath the seats. the Only problem is that the factory way requires use of 5mm x 9mm self-tapping screws, which are not included with the bracket. owners have to go out and scrounge their dealerships or hardware stores for equivalent screws. The mounting holes are not threaded! I found a workaround by using plastic moulding / trim bolts which have a series of retainer rings along their shafts which I was able to push into the holes and have formed a nice, solid seal strong enough to hold the mounting bracket and its first aid kid in place. It's this lack of screws or information on the screws and showing lack of thinking on the car ...
