    Small but mighty

    This small Spider scanner antenna is picking up more than I've ever been able to hear. It's so much better than a larger antenna that I had. Old one caught a lot of wind and ice. This Spider antenna will not be affected by the wind and has less surface to collect ice. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to use their scanner. I am so impressed by it.

    Disappointment

    Not good for 470 MHz, but great for aircraft band. I should have read all the reviews. The RG58 cable is not worth the effort to do a test installation. I also tried different high end cable with same poor results in the 470-510 MHz range.

    I am impressed

    I must say that upon receiving this antenna I was not initially impressed. It looked cheap and I was not sure it was going to help especially after reading some of the other reviews. I assembled it tonight and hooked it up to my scanner. Immediately I was able to pull in more channels and I only have it sitting on my coffee table. I can't wait for the rest of the parts I need to put this 10 feet up on my roof! I should definitely pull in more channels and get better reception. Don't let the cheap price and look of this antenna fool you. Although it is smaller than I imagined it would be, it is well worth the money!!!

    WOW

    OK, I was not impressed with having to put it together, but when I did, it didn't help my reception, but hooked up another scanner and BOOM it was the Bomb, turns out my other scanner had a bad wire inside! this ANTENNA ROCKS, and I totally RECOMMEND IT! Great value for the Price.
