Uses a 3-V CR2032 lithium battery vs the 1.5-V AG13 alkaline button (?) of others - I think the larger cell lasts better and is easier to handle. The main measuring jaws and track are carbon-fiber composite -I'll see how that works out, it is lighter. Seems to be a good value for the price which included free shipping.

It doesn't have a locking nut or mechanism that keeps the measures in place...so be aware. Display is big and clear and seems to be the best part of whole assembly. It's ok for NOT PRECISION work beyond take measurements of bolts and hydraulic connectors (my specific task at job). Don't blame the seller for how cheap perceived quality is. Besides that is ok.
