    Yamaha v star 250 front sprocket

    This is definitely the way to go. I changed this and an RK brand 520H chain. The stock 114 link chain is just long enough. The extra tooth from 16 jump to 17 is amazing, smooth and way less jerky. Just do it the v star 250 heating is way too low. (PS did mine with no jack or chain breaker, Sawzall on the old chain.

    If you have an XV250/Virago 250/ V-Star 250 buy this immediately.

    Stock sprocket is a 16, and even though it doesn't seem like much, 17 makes all the difference. First gear finally gets you above 5 mph (to me the amount of clutch slipping needed felt about the same so that's great), second and third are useable and not so jumpy, and overall this sprocket makes the bike so much nicer to ride. Brother has an 850cc and often times we would ride and I wouldn't be able to make passes on slower moving cars in our quest to be speed demons. But now with this sprocket third and fourth are geared much better and I'm excited to be able to not slow us down as much as I used to. For the price, and the hour (or less if you're mechanically inclined) that this takes to install, you can't beat it. If anyone is considering this sprocket, I'd say totally go for it, and if ...

    Good service

    As described. This in combination with the 41t rear sprocket turned my g'friends 250 v-star into a real motorcycle. It will now cruise at 60-65mph effortlessly. Turned it into a blast to ride. I ride a 900+lb' 1600cc and now i think I may keep it myself when she moves up to abigger bike. Its really a fun bike now.

    good fit

    Replaced the 16 tooth sprocket with this 17 tooth. Better gas mileage. The oem sprocket was just geared to low. I wish they had an 18 tooth because the bike could have easily handled it.

    Virago 250 must!

    Easy overhaul to the stock gearing of a virago 250. Solid quality and easy/intermediate to install. Now the first four gears get me through most city riding, and the fifth gear is reserved for higher speeds.
