it worked great for me
where was all my water going? every 5 days had to fill it up again..is my head gasket blown is my head cracked is my block cracked...after using block tester it saved me from taking my engine apart when not needed. my water was leaking out at the heater core under the carpet..... i had to buy a new heater core 56.00 bucks.....head gasket kit 250.00- time 2 hours to repair the core...head gasket 18 hours.... if i went with head gasket i would not have stopped the water leak. SO I WANTED TO CHECK IF IT REALLY WORKED.. AFTER CHECKING THE RADIATOR FOR EXHAUST ...DOES IT WORK...SO I PUT IT AT THE TAIL PIPE PUMPED IT THREE TIMES AND IT TURNED FROM DARK BLUE TO DULL YELLOW....YUP IT WORKED....SO I LOOKED FOR ANOTHER PROBLEM BUT NOT THE HEADS OR BLOCK......MONEY SAVED ... BT500 Block Tester Review
Easy to follow instructions and only takes about 15 minutes for the whole process. It comes apart for easy cleaning as well. The only problem I had was that the bottle of test fluid leaked after I put it away....cap was good and tight so the seal must be inferior.....just keep the bottle upright and you'll be fine.

Great product. Told my mechanic I tested my Subaru for blown head gaskets with it, and he pointed to the one he has on a shelf. This will not show external leaks of oil or coolant but you will probably see those on the ground. Very simple to use in just a few minutes. You will pay a mechanic more to do the test than this kit costs. There is enough fluid for several tests. I think this is better than the test where you pressurize the radiator, and that’s more costly equipment and more difficult.Great product. Worked for all my vehicles (06 Mustang GT, 95 Suzuki Sidekick, 93 s10 Blazer 4.3, 2001 s10 Blazer 4.3, and a 94 Pontiac Firebird) and was able to determine that none of them needed a head gasket. Just to double check my test fluid I pumped it once in front of the exhaust and it turned yellowish brown immediately.
