    Rock solid protection at a fantastic price

    Super easy to install drive. Feels really solid and protective. Plug and play in windows 7 and 8.1 no divers needed to be manually added. The cable that it comes with is short at only 12 inches, and I could see how this might be a negative for some people. For me it's ideal. But either way it shouldn't be a deal breaker as the cable is removable/replaceable with and commonly available USB A Male to Micro B Male cable. And best of all, data transfers are wicked fast.

    Unreliable SATA controller - mixed results

    I am not sure about this one. Feels solid with moderate shock protection. It appears to be water resistant. Unfortunately, I have doubts about the SATA controller as it is slower than others I own, and I have had to reformat and clear and reset a couple of SSDs (including an ADATA SSD) to factory reset. I own several other SSD drive enclosures, and multiple SSDs by ADATA, Intel, Crucial, Western Digital, and everything else has worked just fine all along. I am not sure what is up with these ADATA enclosures/controllers, but they have not been reliable and I no longer trust them for serious backups. Of course your mileage may vary ... TT

    Great enclosure!

    This thing is nice, easy to install a SSD drive in and even comes with some foam spacers to prevent rattle and help hold the drive securely in place. Solidly build to ensure that the drive is well protect from shock and water. I like it so well that I might buy a few more.

    Only one disappointment!

    Very rugged case. I was extremely impressed. Only one draw-back, the power cord is only 12" long. OK if your working with a laptop but on a desktop you really need something longer to reach around back, unless your alright with the case hanging out in the front of your work space. They really need to include a longer power cable...

    Very nice item for an external drive. Only thing that this need is an indicator light showing when the drive is being accessed. Otherwise it is a very good enclosure.
