    This is slick!

    I was needing to pipe sound out of a mixer into a cellphone. The problem was that the cable I was trying to use was feeding the mixer output into the headphone output terminals in the 3.5 mm jack instead of the microphone contacts. The iRig2 took care of the problem with ease and simplicity! The sound quality is good also. Buy it!

    Cool idea - poor product

    I've tweaked the iRig 2 on two different iPads and it just isn't very useable. Tons of squeal and feedback even with the gain turned all the way down. By the time I bump down the volume, the gain and dial down the pedal effect in order to cut the feedback I lose all the qualities of the preset tone. Barely useable & not enjoyable, I'm reselling this hunk of plastic asap. Maybe the version that works through the lightning port is better.

    Irig

    Good product. Very convenient, if you don't want to have an amp with you. Mine is a little touchy, and cuts out when plug is not firmly pressed in, but otherwise I really like it.
