Sinbad must obtain the egg of a roc, a fierce, giant bird, in order to return the beautiful Princess Parisa to her normal size after she is miniaturized by the villanous magician Sokurah. Along the way Sinbad, Parisa, and their magical genie encounter a calvacade of mythological creatures, including a man-eating cyclops, a two headed roc, a fire breathing dragon, and an army of reanimated skeletons--all lovingly brought to life through the magic of the spectacular special effects of Ray Harryhausen.

    Matinee Clasic Found

    Years ago in the 70s & early 80s,my elder brother and I both worked in the Cinema industry. He a manager and I a projectionist for different Co.s many states apart. We found,to our delite,that The Seventh Voyage Of Sinbad was still packing-in eager matinee crowds(as it did when we were kids) almost 30 years after its debut' Produced by C.Schneer,with F/X by the incomparable Ray Harryhausen,this film was replete with fine acting,lavish sets,great writing(Kenneth Kolb)and presented in Technicolor. It remains to this day a shinning example of the heyday of American fantasy films. The original was presented in Cinnemascope.As a former projectionist,I much prefer the DVD Widescreen versions to others of its kind.

    One Of THE Greatest Movies Ever Made

    One of the GREAT Movies of all times for all ages. I saw this movie when I was a kid and from the opening notes of music I knew this was a classic. The music is exciting and the action begins right away unlike many movies of the day that only show the good stuff at the end. Harryhausens Cyclops, Dragon, Roc, and Skeleton Swordsman are so impressive to most anyone with an imagination. The Dvd was great too.. good quality with sound and picture. I have purchased this movie as well as other Harryhausen classics for my kids, and my grand kids and they ALL love them.
