The EMC CLARiiON CX-4G15-600 15k revolutions per minute Fibre Channel hard drive is designed to maximize the performance of your EMC CX3 or CX4 series SAN. The drive has a rotational speed of 15k revolutions per minute and an interface speed of 4 GB per second. The EMC CLARiiON CX-4G15-600 has a Fibre Channel 4 GB interface and a 16 MB buffer size. It has a 600 GB storage capacity that increases system performance by improving various disk operations, like seek rates and latency. The average seek time for the EMC CLARiiON CX-4G15-600 is 3.4 milliseconds, and the average rotational latency time is 2.0 milliseconds. These increased times on the 15k revolutions per minute drive are most taken advantage of by applications that use small-block, random I/O, which minimize caching advantages of the storage system.
