Easy install, protects sides from stones hitting paint.
I had these before on my other Tacomas and love them. They protect the sides from road debris chipping the paint and they look good on my 2016 Tacoma DBCB LB Sport. Easy install being a 65yr old grandma. No instructions needed. Boards are marked driver side, passenger side. Frame is made of lightweight aluminum with a durable molded polystyrene/plastic? board on top. On dirt/gravel roads I can hear the stones hit the boards and not the paint. Have not noticed any flexing when stepping on the board.I had these before on my other Tacomas and love them. Tacoma oem running boards
I own a 3rd gen and selected these running boards for the oem fit and function. I have the oem roof racks which are frequently used to carry roof top cargo. These running boards provide a good step to stand on when loading and unloading.

Too high
The boards are a good quality and easy to install. I have a hard time getting in the the truck along with my wife and mother. The boards are too high. I wanted a lower set of brackets, but Toyota does not offer any.
