Fits better than org.
This part looks exactly like the original except it screws from the left instead of the right , but (good thing) the thread pattern is a bit thicker than the one that came on my 40v ele battery powered weed eater. It fit perfect on it, and also my extend-it pole saw too, as I messed one up there as well. I got the 3 pack to replace the 2 broke and have one on standby. Due to the better thread pattern I am hopeful these will last longer than OEM. Bottom line, fits great ! Good buy! Design flaw (bolt too small for purpose)
The bolt is to small for the clamp and I anticipate having to replace again in a year or so. To tighten the clamp adequately to firmly hold the trimmer attachment in place, you have to strain the threads on the bolt. This leads to the stripping of the threads on the bolt over time. I wasn't able to find the bolt and handle for sale without the clamp, so I had to pay for the new bolt/handle and clamp. The bolt is to small for the clamp and I anticipate having to replace again in a year or so. To tighten the clamp adequately to firmly hold the trimmer attachment in place, you have to strain the threads on the bolt. This leads to the stripping of the threads on the bolt over time. I wasn't able to find the bolt and handle for sale without the clamp, so I had to pay for the new bolt/handle and clamp.

Easy Fix...
This was a easy fix. But Ryobi should address this issue. If I was using the brush cutter when this came loose, or the thread stripped-really not good. Luckily I was using the leaf blower and it just spun in circles. Really easy fix, but keep an eye on this part before using the brush cutter.
