Frontlines: Fuel of War is a first-person shooter set in a dystopian future where the world is dominated by two superpowers: the Western Coalition and the Red Star Alliance. Both factions are fighting over the world's most precious commodity: oil. Control of this resource is needed to salvage what's left after decades of overcrowding, environmental pollution, and political corruption. Frontlines features urban warfare in a cinematic single-player campaign with non-linear missions, destructible environments, and seven theatres of war. <br><br>Online support is also included for up to 64 players on a choice of eight themed maps. After deciding on a faction to fight for, online players must fill a specific role on the battlefront. Four role types include ground support, air support, drone technician, and countermeasures. Each role can be outfitted with one of six loadouts, which determine the primary and secondary weapons available to players. The goal is to capture each map's series of objectives while advancing toward the opposing faction's base. Assisting players within each battlefield are a number of futuristic vehicles, including assault tanks, jets, helicopters, and remote-controlled drones. Additional abilities for each role can be unlocked by earning experience from killing enemies or capturing objectives. These abilities are not persistent, however, so they will be reset once a map is finished.

I really enjoyed this game. Plenty of Unique weapons available to use, such as robots,tanks,helicopters,and drones. I can only speak on the single 1st person play. Do not play any of my games online. But the purchase price I paid for this older game was well worth it. The game has the typical (8) level mission's. To short if you ask me!!! Game is very easy to understand and keep on top of the objectives. I would very much recommend this game if you like fps game play. Fred I really enjoyed this game. Fun, but lacking in multiplayer
I purchased this game hoping for strong multiplayer support. Unfortunately, although there are many servers listed, only a few have a regular population of players. If you like alot of aircraft, armor, and other vehicles, you will enjoy this game. For me personally, I think there are way to many aircraft. On one map, each side has 2 fighters, and 2 or 3 choppers. This is ok if there are alot of players. But when theres only 12 or less players, and half of them are flying, it makes for an unbalanced game. Also, the developers of this game decided to put 'boundries' in the maps. If you stray to far out of a predetermined area on the map, you start to lose health. On some of the maps, this is very annoying, especially if your in a jetfighter. Your confined to a relatively small flying area. ... I purchased this game hoping for strong multiplayer support. Your confined to a relatively small flying area. The game also has glitches. Like the infamous 'wall glitch'. Where the player can get half of their body to blend into a wall or other object. You can walk right up to them and not see them. The flip side to this, is during certain times in the game, the opposing team player is highlighted with a red neon triangle. This is a bit amateurish, and I really don't get the point. Reminds me of a hack I've seen in COD4. Graphics are good if you have a high end system with everything set to maximum. Singleplayer is a little to easy on the normal setting, and it does'nt take long to get through the entire game. Maybe 5 or 6 hours depending on your experience level playing FPS's. The game needs to have more maps, but even with the current maps, game play can get intense with 30 or more players. Overall the game can be fun to play. If you can get this game for under $30 go for it. Either that, or save your money and wait for Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising FPS to come out in couple of months.

FrontLines falls short with a whole host of problems!!!
I bought fuel of war after watching the commercials on tv and after hearing that the multi player would be up to 60 ppl. Unfortunately I should have read some of the other reviews that are out there. This game has good graphics and great sound but so many problems with the multiplayer even after the patch and hotfix release. I can only find multiplayer games sometimes and when I do I usually have to type the ip manually just to get into the server. Of course thats only when its working. Most of the time it says I need to change my settings so it can find a game (I have my filters set at accept anything, whether there is ppl or not). I could go on with more but I just need to end with this. In closing, buy this if you really need to but your better off waiting till they have all the patchs ... Complete Frontlines Fuel of War Open World FPS PC XP/Vista w/ CD KEY
Excellent graphics action pack many weapons drones tanks vehicles Heli.ETC the missions are ok on normal but you will get killed on hard the game was short 2 days I completed all the missions the only good thing is that you don't need to be on line when installing it like steam crap and the original keys work. Plays on windows 7 64 bit but I love shooter games so I added to my collection.

Mediocre game...Could have been better.
With all the hype and build-up that Frontlines received, I expected it to be phenomenal. It was good, but far from great. The graphics were on par with current development. The ability to destroy almost anything in the environment was fun. But when it comes down to it, the distinct lack of tactical gameplay was a downer. Frontlines was built up to be like a more fun, easier to play Ghost Recon. Futuristic war and weapons based on current technology and political tensions is a great idea, but when the developers fail to make the gameplay addicting...the game fails. 3 out of 5 for a good story and fun game, but the typical run and gun gameplay.With all the hype and build-up that Frontlines received, I expected it to be phenomenal.
