Item works but does require some trimming. The standard hinge ring doesn’t fit, you’ll need to use one from a 3DS or trim the inside of the shell on the ridge because if you don’t, you can’t attach the top half to the bottom of the DS. Other than that it’s an exact replacement! 😁 Communicative seller! Would shop with them again!

Top screen is great along with the LCD digitizer. I am disappointed in the bottom screen though as it came yellowed. It is a little hard to tell in the photo I have attached, but it is incredibly noticeable in person. I bought these to replace yellowed screens in the console originally so I was sad when I booted the console back on after refurbishing it to see the same issue.

The yellow tone you are referring to in the new screen is the tone of the screen. Some Nintendo screens are warm in tone and others are cool in tone. The difference in screen color is because you have a cool toned top screen and the replacement bottom screen is warm toned. If you replace both the top and the bottom screen at the same time, you are more likely to get screens with the same tone. A warm toned screen is not to be confused with a yellowed, aged screen which is a different issue.
