    Great movie - won Academy award for best picture of 2003 and 5 other nominations, but DVD has issues.

    I think there was a manufacturing problem with this DVD. I originally checked it out from my local library and it wouldn't play correctly; it stopped after showing the opening credits, and then went gray after 107. When I got the new disc, it played the previews, but then stopped again. It also glitched a couple of times, though it played through the whole movie. It's not my player because I watched other movies for hours afterwards with no problem.

    It was interesting to see the background of the coverage of the McCarthy era! I did not know that he also targeted the media. I would have liked the movie to continue longer after the events.

    History on display

    This little bit of history illuminates the good which can be accomplished by a few good men. The need is with us again so I say , Edward R Murrow where are you today? This movie is excellent! It feels real, the casting is perfect. Additionally It should be used in schools as well as reviewed by our adult population

    Propagandist

    Edward R. Morrow was a communist sympathizer who used his TV slot to wage war against McCarthy and make him out to be some kind of nut. 65 years later it has become very clear that Hollywood & our government are occupied by Communist & Communist sympathizers.

    Edward R. Murrow shoots "Tail Gunner Joe" in the .....Foot, and then has to pay for it. Great Movie!
