    An exercise in modeling frustration.

    It's a shame that AMT is one of the only companies producing plastic models of cool old cars anymore. The fit and finish of this kit are terrible (as is the case with many AMTs) . By the time this one is complete you'll be wondering why you didn't just carve a Corvette out of a lump of plastic with your hobby knife and 10 sheets of sandpaper. Skill level 2? A 10 year old would flip out with frustration, and then destroy their flawed creation with the largest firecracker available. The lame instructions are little help. At least you get a bunch of extra parts you can use later on (if your will to build models hasn't been totally sapped).

    finicky to assemble but rewarding when built

    an old, often revived kit of a genre of vehicle (gasser) that some builders may find a bit finicky to assemble. the instructions are a bit confusing also, but if you use patience and pre-assemble some of the steps before commiting to glue, all should be well. if you are a fan of modified early corvettes, than you will find this model rewarding to build. just take your time. i think less experienced model builders may get frustrated by this one, but it's worth the build to expand on your modelling skills
