The seller shipped me 2 replacement units that arrived in 1 month, and the same result of blinking red LED, but this time 8.3V, slightly better. The seller explained that these can't be compared to a Motorola IMPRES battery at $20. But any li-ion cell should be able to be charged up to 4.2 per cell, regardless of brand.
