    Nanny McPheeMary Poppins of the 21st Century

    My kids loved it soooo much I had to get two copies - one for home and one for the minivan. Nanny McPhee is an amazing story - intertaing yet educational. The moral thoughtout the movie is "for every action there are consequences." Great acting by Emma Thompson playing the title role with her familiar saucy inflections, letting that voice undercut McPhee's ugly-duckling appearance. Each time she teaches the kids a new lesson, a different flaw vanishes from her face. Also the set is breath-taking: It's like watching a life sized doll house come to life with its exaggerated colours and fantastic rooms. It's the kind of house you could run around in all day playing everything from blind man's buff to hide and seek! And to make it even better you could knock ...

    Overall a good movie.

    A very entertaining movie. Hilarious of course. Evangeline is simple and beautiful. I loved the kids, they're such young talents. Nanny Mcphee was pretty much like my Aunt. It reminded me a lot of my aunt. Emma Thomson looks really adorable at the end and throughout the movie she's played a very good assertive and helpful character. Liked the colorful drama with emotions and comedy throughout the movie. However, the movie would have been good, if it had been more focussed on Nanny Mcphee's history and background. She's just like appearing all of a sudden and no one knows where she goes at the end.

    A new nanny enters the household of the recently widowed Mr. Brown and attempts to tame his seven exceedingly ill-behaved children. The children, led by the oldest boy Simon, have managed to drive away 17 previous nannies and are certain that they will have no trouble with this one.     the new mary poppins.

    this is a new mary poppins fair tale like movie. its very sweet, cute, and fun. a little predicltable but im sure children enjoy it more than adults. i loved watching this movie about a nanny who came when needed the most to teacht he children some lessons they will never forget. the plot is the children are being raised by a single father and they fear that a step mother would be mean (they read fairy tales that esspecialy make them feel that way) so they make sure to drive all the possibilities away from pappa. the thing the children dont know is that the father needs to marry to continue receiving funding from a relative who is helping out. if he does not marry, the cranky aunt will take the children away. he is ready to settle for ANYTHING.
