Product Information

The Need for Speed series makes a significant departure from previous entries with "The Run," which has players on a high-speed race across the country. Your goal is to make it from San Francisco to New York City as quickly as possible while trying to outmaneuver those pursuing you -- from law enforcement to the mob -- and outwitting your competition. Each destination is broken down into a series of time-sensitive stages that has you completing specific objectives before you can advance.<br><br>You'll need to swerve to avoid spotlights and bullet fire from a pursuing helicopter, for example, or make it out of a city before time expires. For the first time in the series, you'll engage in on-foot sequences as well as driving missions. Your car will periodically crash during the course of your travels, at which point you'll have to continue on foot. Rather than directly control your character, you'll instead rely on scripted quick-time events to dodge bullets, leap across rooftops, engage in hand-to-hand combat, and more. Successfully tap the right button at the precise time to continue the action.<br><br>Available during initial shipments of Need for Speed: The Run, the limited edition features five additional racing events. Three bonus vehicles are also included: the Lamborghini Aventador, Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and Porsche 911 Carrera S.

    About the limited edition

    Actually I already has the normal edition before I buy this limited edition.What made me disappointed was this edition just unlocked 1 series challenge racing(Including 5 easy challenges),that mean it not unlock every challenges in the game.If you love those 3 Wonderful car and don’t care about the money,you can choose to buy limited edition.other while,is not a good value for you anyway,but this game still very good and I love it.

    good buy for a lot of fun, for all ages ,even folks over 60

    On line play is fantastic. Best ea game since Most Wanted!!Going thru the game is easy, but online play with nreal people is where it is at. Real players are not easy but fantastic fun. Unfortunatly does not run with windows xp.

    Not a happy camper with this item because of installation problems.

    Not OK. Have not been able to install this item even though it states that it will work on my machine. Disc #2 is marked as it should be, but computer states that it is a part of another game and will not complete the install. All of my attempts to correct this problem have been futile. Only good thing is that the cost was low enough that I can quit without losing too much money.

    Great value for the money!

    I bought this game for my son who loved the other Need for Speed games. He likes this one as well. The backgrounds you race through are realistic and the game is entertaining.
