I am just leaving the battery door off, no drilling, full reversibility (perhaps when I sell the unit as I de/resoldered the jack cables to allow them into the battery compartment without drilling. Otherwise no soldering, there are pads on the motherboard that this little card has pins to match, you just unscrew two screws and screw them back down and hook everything up and it works! Korg left out the MIDI jacks/isolator is all.
