This was exactly as pictured. Because of its age, the paper is very fragile, but was placed in a perfect sized clear plastic envelope and packed and shipped with great attention to detail. This was an A++++ transaction.

  • Excellent BBC Classic Historical Miniseries

I watched this on DVD from my library & it's one of the most well-acted amd researched mini-series about English history I've ever watched. The casting was impeccable, especially Keith Michell as the conflicted yet indomitable and stubborn King Henry VIII. He reveals a human side to "the person in the portrait", as do the actresses in the roles of the Six Wives. Other notables are the previous Dr. Who as the Duke of Norfolk, & Bernard Hepton as Archbishop Cranmer. Watching this series also gives a sense of appreciation for how much work the BBC invested in this series. Such dedication holds up & proves the relevance of both the show (50 years after its release as the first Masterpiece Theatre miniseries) and the pivotal historical changes in England brought about in the reign of Henry ...

  • Very Informative Movie!

This Set Is very Good and interesting. Each Tape is ONE wife. One leads you into the other. Wife 1- Was used and then tossed and Banished from Court, This was Bloody Mary's Mother ( Mary was labeled a illegal Child by King Henry) to make way For Anne Bolyn, Queen Elizabeth Mother. She was Beheaded a labeled a Witch, to make way for Jane, #3 wife. ETC...............Most of the Movie you HATE Henry, but towards the end, you kind of get to feeling sorry for the OLD King.... Very well Acted and some parts hard to follow, but VERY WORTH THE WATCH!! Continue the saga by watching "Elizabeth R".. which picks up where this one stops

  • Six Wives of Henry VIII

I just loved this set. I am especially fond of movie and television collections such as this one. This one was first rate and there never was a better Henry VIII. Everything about it was authentic, well acted and my attention never wavered through all six wives.

  • Not worth the money...

After reading The Other Boleyn Girl, I was eager to learn more about the life and loves of Henry the VIII. I realize it is an old production, but I expected more. The characters came across as flat and dimensionless, life at court -- boring. I usually love period movies, but found this one disappointing.

  • VERY INTERESTING

I ENJOYED THE DETAILS .. AND THE WAY THEY PRESENTED THE LIVES OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO HAD SUCH A LARGE HAND IN THE HISTORY OF ENGLAND ..IT WAS A GOOD WATCH .. I'LL WATCH IT AGAIN ..
