    Be Careful!

    It is a great DVR, but do not be fooled into thinking the hard drive in included! You have to purchase the hard disk drive separately. It does state what is included with the device, but one automatically assumes when purchasing a DVR that the hard disk drive in included in the DVR, hence the name Digital Video Recorder! They just left out the recording part of the device!

    Never worked - EVER!

    Since the moment the DVR arrived, it has never shown the images from the cameras I've connected. I've tried two sets of cameras with it. Older cameras. New cameras. Neither of those worked. I've changed every resolution setting available...that didn't work. I tried to ship the item back to get a refund - it would have cost me MORE to ship back than the cost of the DVR!!! So, I basically have in my possession a nice, sleek looking paperweight! It was defective from the start... A total waste of money!

    Takes patience

    English leaves a lot to be desired. Must use little grey cells a lot. Once that is mastered, the actual setup is pretty straight forward, until it comes to the motion detection and video capture. I've had this DVR for several weeks now and still haven't completely figured it out. Video quality is good, It does capture what you want but finding a specific file can be a chore. Can't find a way to search by video clip. Only way is to fast forward at 8X when you get close. Takes a while. Customer support was helpful. I would recommend this DVR old-mossyback

    Difficult to use

    I have been using surveillance systems for a long time and have never run across one that is so counter-intuitive! Every time I try to do a video search, I come up with nothing because I can only access two of my images and it's only for a very short time. The owner's manual is so poorly written that I have no idea how to address any of the problems I am having with this unit. I made the mistake of buying a second unit before doing a video search, so now I'm stuck with two of these pieces of garbage. DO NOT BUY!

    Sweet for the price.

    Great dvr for 500tvl - 800tvl cameras. Use the motion detection recording set up. Pick your date and time playback, no entering in the date, time. Use the clic on calendar. Use a good sv rated hard drive.
