    good decent game

    Thunder Spirits for the Super Famicom is an enjoyable shmup or space ship shoot em up game. the graphics are very clean looking for a game of this time. this game is based on the Sega Genesis game Thunder Force 3. this version has been " remixed" from the original with some new levels to differentiate it from the genesis version . the music is decent but not as good as the original. the Famicom version is better than the US SNES one due to some levels being omitted . My favorite level SEIREN is in the import. The picture shown here is of the US box. So if you like shoot em ups get games ,get it. FOR SUPER FAMICOM.

    Great game, great price, and an excellent value for a growing shmup library

    A great port of Thunder Force III, and while this game has always lacked a worthwhile auto-fire function, it's a fantastic shooter that's welcome in any shmup fan's library. The graphics on the SNES version don't seem to be super improved over the Genesis, it's a great alternative if you either don't have a Genesis, or prefer the SNES for shooters. Compared to other shooters on the SNES, it's a solid contender, and definitely worth your time.

    if I were you I'd stick to the mega drive version

    not a good port of a classic title namely thunder force 3. The music is shockingly awful which was a masterpiece on the megadrive version, just can't understand what happened to a classic game.
